BCS Stats adds support for live volleyball stats

TEMPE, ARIZ. -- BCS Stats Systems unveiled today that it has added support for collegiate volleyball to its StatMonitr live statistics platform of services, as well as plans to complete its line of Olympic sports by the end of 2010. Volleyball joins basketball, football, baseball and softball on the list of currently supported sports on BCS Stats' acclaimed StatMonitr platform.

"It is important to us that we move in the direction of being able to support every sport played on campuses around the nation," said company president Nate Policar. "While volleyball and the other olympic sports do not draw the attention or big money that the big three sports garner, there is an established audience base for them. Especially as we begin moving towards offering our system on different platforms."

Last year, there were roughly more than 650 Division-I volleyball programs, with a slightly higher number being in the women's division than the men's. The volleyball season runs during the fall for women and during the spring for men.

BCS Stats' StatMonitr service enables schools to display real-time stats in their venue, and around the world, for broadcast media, press and event staff on a variety of devices, including BCS Stats' custom wireless courtside monitors.
